I am about to purchase a new to me 2012 Challenger 180SE with about 100 hours on it. For the life of me I cannot find a place that works on these boats.

Marine Max
Jax Power Sports
Etc - I have called 7 locations.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks so much. Well it is at 100 hours so I don't know if the Super Charger needs work and I think I can do simple oil changes etc. just want to have someone there if something major happens.

There's this site as well as others that can always give you a hand if you run into a problem. I'd ask the owner about the history of the supercharger. If he's never changed it, then you may want to negotiate the rebuild into the purchase price. At the very least he can meet you half way.

If you remove the supercharger yourself and send it out for rebuild, it will set you back roughly $500.

Thanks so much. How difficult is it to remove and do you need special tools? Is an oil change difficult?

Not hard to remove at all. You'll need a torx socket (forget the size) for some of the bolts. Oil change requires a pump as you drain the oil from the dipstick hole. I highly recommend you get a maintenance manual for your boat.

Thanks so much, just downloaded service manual. Still looking for someone who works on them in North Florida.

Welcome to the forum.

I would made a new thread and ask for dealers or independent techs (my choice) in your area.
