I've seen a few posts about gel coat repairs for gouges and deep scratches. I'm pretty new to Seadoos, but over the past 3 months, I've learned that beaching it along the Lake Michigan shore will do a nice job of roughing up the hull. The bottom of the hull is scratched, with the deepest being maybe 1-2 mm. From front to back the hull feels somewhat gritty on the bottom. It's not at all the smooth feel of a gel coat finish, but more like a chauk board. I think the deepest scratch is from my first time riding when I decided to beach it on a gravel beach. I was going very slow, but the sound of gravel on the hull was not good. Since then, I've only been on sand beaches. Would it be a good idea to have new gel coat applied to the bottom of the hull, or just let it go? My ski is an '05, so I hope to keep it for many more years.

I may try doing it myself. Since the hull it white and it's on the very bottom, it won't matter if it doesn't look perfect.
