Guys,

If my Sunday Sea trial goes as planned I will be bringing home a 2007 Challenger 180. This boat has the 215hp S/C engine with 31 hours and has the ceramic washers to my knowledge.

Can anyone provide a "SC washer change for dummies" procedure?

Since I have only 31 hours I'm going to simply replace only the washers now and at 100 hours do an entire rebuild.

Hi there!

do you mind if i e-mail you as well! i have a 2006 with about 45 hrs on it! and id like to do this as well! i have the manual for the motor, but i would like to get all the info as possible! thanx!

Is it a secret or somthing? I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to no the prcedure. Kinda thought that's what this thread was about. Maybe the title of the thread should be changed to "pm me for secret information".

The replacement of the washers and the rebuilding of the SC is not hard at all. You can download the instructions, and buy the necessary parts/rebuild kit, from the Riva website.

You will need some specialized tools, but other than that, it's pretty straight forward.

Out of respect for the forum owners I didnt want to post information from a competing website.

You can email me any time. I believe there are some posts on this site that are new since this thread started that also cover the subject.
