Why is there a hole on starboard motor SC and not one on port side? Bought it recently used from dealer and read I need to get them rebuilt before catostrophic failure.

Those are 2 different superchargers. I have a 2011 Speedster with a 255HP engine and mine is like the one on the left.

As far as I am aware, the port and starboard engine have the same SC.

Can you take a photo of the compressor wheel on both?

The hole you mention is there to allow oil to drain back out. There is an oil jet that sprays oil at the gear and bearings.

The one on the left is an OEM , the right one is an aftermarket probably for a different engine, hard to rebuild it until you know which engine it was for or who supplied it.

You are correct after I seen your post I researched the part number left is 867151 and is for a 255 HP and right is a 6867154 which is correct for a 215HP 4tec. I do notice a nice smooth whistle on the port side and not one from the star board side. I wander what else is different other than the hole. I attached pics as you requested. Blades look same to me.

The one on left also has 5 black washers , where the one on right has 3 . Another difference .
That is what I thought at first glance but It is an optical allusion they both have five washers, the one on the right is compressed more. My guess it was slipping and someone torqued it down.

From what I understand, the SC on the left is 08+ from the housing. The one on the right older than 08.

The 215 vs. 255 is all dependent on the wheel and housing spacer, the housing could be different. Your boat is a 2007, so it is a 430 model. You have 2 x 215 HP engines and I would assume you have the 215 wheel in each of those SC's, because if you didn't you would have issues.

I am guessing that the one on the left failed at some point in time and was replaced with a newer 08+ housing.

Thanks for the reply, you sure do know your boats.. Based on the pic of your wheel I am now certain I don't have a 255 SC wheel in there. I did think I was on to something because the side with the hole in it does seam to have a little less pull. I actually have to run a little higher RPM on that side to keep boat pulling straight. I guess I will go ahead and send these to PWC muscle and have them rebuilt. Oh well guess I will pull the pumps and check wear rings a little closer to see if that is my pull issue (after I get the SC's back in)... Thanks again....
