Hello. New to boating. Have had my Islandia for about 1 year and love it.

We have always put it in freshwater lakes or rivers only. I am planning to put the boat in Salt Water in a few weeks (San Diego). I know that I will need to wash and flush everything after to clear out the salt but is there anything else I should consider or worry about? Thank you.

Definitely get some anti-corrosion spray and hit the engine bay and exterior pump area prior to dunking. Make sure your zincs are in good shape. Salt Away for the flush.

I use Corrosion X here in South Florida. It’s legit. Spray it all over pumps and cables. Then a light coating in engine bay (battery terminals too). It really holds up well
