i am planning on taking my 2 96xp to florida in march. i am from michigan and need to find out what i need to do after i run them in the salt water. can i run them for the 10 days i am there and flush them out before i leave? do i need to flush them out everyday i ride??

only take about 5 minutes to flush. If ski is left at shore by the pad, then run hose down to it, get urself 3in pvc, make stand, and put ski on it, or if tied to dock, then you, put on trailer, flush, dump back in...

I'm new to this forum.. however we are in Florida near Tampa....we flush ours for a good 10 min to be safe then spray it down with Silicone spray before we take her home! lots of great places here in Florida to have a great time.

It's best to just flush for no more than 5 minutes, and use salt away in the water to prevent any corrosion damage. Then spray everything down with wd-40 for corrosion protection. I only run my jet boat in salt water...never a problem if flushed properly.

Remember to completely spray down the engine with the water hose. Avoid spraying directly into the air box. If you flush for more than 5 minutes, you risk overheating the carbon ring on the driveshaft as there is no cooling for it when out of the water.
