Hi,
New to the forum, from the UK looking for a bit of battery advice if I may?

I've had a 2010 RXT-X 260 RS since last year, the battery on it seems pretty weak to the point where i'm always worrying about stopping and starting the engine.
Firstly, what (if any) jump pack would you recommend that wont fry the ECU?
Secondly and most importantly, what battery would you recommend I replace the one I have with? It's not stored at home so I can't see what is in it right now but I want to try and order one in the next few days, charge it and fit it when im there at the weekend. The manual doesn't state what physical size it needs to be to fit in the plastic clip tray where the battery goes.

Wet/Dry, does it make a difference?

Really appreciate any help/advice. This is my first ski so apologies if the question seems a silly one :)

This is the oem replacement. Yausa yb30cl-b

I can not say enough about Odyssey. My 09 RXT-X sat for 5.5 months and it cranked right up. I do have a battery kill switch which I leave off when not in use, so I am sure that helps. I will NEVER own anything but Odyssey at this point. Buy the "L-adapters" if you get one as the battery fits in the battery box on its side in many cases. The adapters make it easier to put the cables on. I paid $150 for the battery and $4 for the adapters.

Odyssey pc625 is even better. I recommend it as it it ready to go and does not require acid or charging.

yea I like odysee a whole lot also I never had bad luck with that battery

Thanks for the quick replies!
I've found a seller on Amazon here in the U.K. selling the PC625 at a good price, will grab one.

So I take it this one is physically a lot bigger than the OEM Yuasa one? In which case, do you mount it with something other than the black clip bracket/tray? A photo would be awesome if anyone has one showing how it is secured.. although will have a poke around on google too :)

Mine was the same size but had to be mounted on its side. It can be mounted in any direction. This is why you may want to order the L'Brackets as well. If it mounts on the side, the adapters help a lot.

Do you have a link or picture of the brackets? I'll see if I can find the dimensions listed anywhere of both batteries, if they are the same size then fingers crossed it just fits in the current bracket. Also I notice the terminals are different, are there adapters you can buy to make them the same?

I tell you my problem.. I'm going to the lake Sunday with the kids to tow a new inflatable toy. I stupidly left the battery in there for the last 3 weeks so was going to buy one as a spare. If I'm going to spend £100 on one then I'd prefer the odyssey but i need to be able to fit it at the lake with very little tools. May have to get the OEM one if the odyssey will need some work to fit.

Thanks again all.
