Hey Guys!
New Sea-Doo owner and member to the forum! Have a question for you guys? I just bought a 2007 Speedster 150 215IC and as I was checking the grate for some weeds, I noticed the drive shaft has some surface rust on it. Is this something I should be concerned about? It's going into the dealer next week for a general service. The boat was a bank repo with 28 hours on it, but I don't know what kind of previous service it's had? (I expect none) I also suspect the boat has seen some salt water action as well. But I got such a great deal on this boat that I couldn't turn it down! Let me know what you guys think?

Do you mind telling us how good of a deal you got? When I was looking I could not find any deals on used.

That is a great deal. I wouldn't worry about a little rust on the inpeller shaft. Spray some PB Blaster on it and it should rub off after setting for a couplehours. That stuff is great on rusted parts in general.

That was a steal! Have you had it in the water yet?

Yeah, we are in Florida for the winter, so we took it out last Saturday on Lake Wier, and then twice up the Silver River into Silver Springs! Runs like a champ!! It did need a few things when we bought her......there were no keys for the two access lids up front, so I replaced both locks. Two of the seats were loose and had to have the little plastic darts replaced. And the idiot who had it let it sit out in the sun, so the red paint was somewhat oxidized and took a little elbow grease with the cleaner wax to bring out the shine again. But like I said, she runs out really good!! We are also installing the snap-in carpet, the red bimini top, the factory depth finder, and the black speedster boat cover. Even with all this, I will have less than $11,000.00 in her when I'm done! Not to bad for a 2007 215HP boat huh?
