ok the ski is a 1990 sp

everything has been working fine until yesterday...took the ski out got out of the no wake zone and kept letting the engine get warm then finally gave it some throttle and it kept stuttering...would plane out fine and hit close to top speed and sputter like something was blocking the gas...

then that cleared up all of a sudden and then i would gas it and it would slightly rev up like it was about to take off then slow down and rev no higher even pegging it full throttle it would just go a little above idle...it is loading up when idling. i would have to switch the gas knob to off punch it til it picked up and then switch to on and it would run smooth until i came to another stop or slowed down...

switch to today i cleaned the carb in the morning and the plastic fuel bowl/filter thing. we took it out got out of the no wake zone and hit it and it planed out but starting sputtering again so i putted around for a good 10 minutes to see if it needed to warm up more then punched it and it would be loaded with fuel and wouldnt go much further than idle even at WOT...

i dont know what to do now...please someone help me i know this post is jumbled up but if you need me to clear anything up i will reply i want this fixed asap....

It sounds like you need to remove the carburetors and clean them. If you're careful and don't tear or damage the diaphragms you won't need to buy a rebuild kit. Pay attention to the internal filters too. If you have gray fuel lines you need to replace them with black fuel lines available from auto parts stores like Auto Zone. Measure the length you need and bring a sample with you so you get the correct size. Replace one at a time so you don’t get them mixed up. If you need clamps replace them too. Use small stainless steel clamps also from the auto parts store.

This should help.
