For those who did not read last threads...timing was off and backfiring (slightly), mechanic told me it was the rotary valve gear on the crank shaft...ended up not being it. Here goes with the rest of the story...I got back from Chicago yesterday but parts had not arrived to reassembly the motor (gasket, I damaged the gen. coil and light. coil and the temp sens was bad). Hopefully they'll be here tom. While the motor is out I am installing new fuel lines (black) and discarded the gray. Will post more when I get parts to keep you all updated.

Grey fuel lines......

I know you've got a lot going on, but I have a feeling, 90% of your problem circumnavigates around those grey fuel lines.

I've personally seen another ski (Yamaha) that backfired and ran like the motor was going to blow, before he replaced the fuel lines (he was thrilled about the free advice saving him a trip to the shop and he did it himself).....

Now, the only time I see him, is when he passes me on the river......

yep yep

Let's hope its the fuel lines! I would hate to have to tear apart the carb! Thanks for keeping reading my threads tho; I do appreciate it.
