Rope box storage cover

I'm looking for part number 269700030 for my 1997 Speedster. It's shown as a "rope box cover" on the SeaDoo parts website. This is the last cosmetic piece I'm looking for to make my boat complete. Any ideas where I can find one used? The part has been discontinued by SeaDoo.

Good luck! That and the cooler lid are rare and endangered species these days. I made a good friend by finding one on Craigslist once.

A member here hooked me up with a cooler lid. I haven't had any luck on the storage cover lid though. Called about 10 different salvage places, scoured Ebay and Craigslist....no luck

You could widen your search on CL by using SearchTempest.com It allows you to search the entire country. You might luck out and find a whole hull laying in someone's backyard. I found one like that that I regret not getting. Guy only wanted $100 for the whole thing. Just wanted it out of his yard I bet.

No. This is actually the storage door that sits on top of the engine cover at the rear of the boat. It's about 18 inches by 18 inches roughly. In the past few months I've only found one that was for sale and it sold within about 15 minutes and the buyer was in Europe. I think it's going to be next to impossible to find one.

Don't laugh, but I actually have a pair of goggles on my boat in case something like this falls in the lake. I've lost my cooler lid because the steel cable worked itself lose and upon opening, it opened too far, ripped the plastic hinges and disappeared into the water

Ah gotcha! The thing that I keep cursing and trying to find a place for in my garage while I'm working in the engine bay. Gotcha.

No, you must be thinking of the whole rear lid. That thing IS huge. Weighs a ton! No, he means the lid to the rope locker.
