I friend rolled my RXI yesterday. I performed the steps in a similar post from splm93 and the video. Thanks for that. I sprayed the cylinders with WD-40, cleaned the plugs, drained the water out and used a wet vac to get everything fairly dry. I got the engine to start and run, but it will only run 3300 RPM and about 8 mph. I only ran it for about 10-15 minutes for fear of doing any damage. I can see water flow from the pee tube.
When I pulled the plugs this time one was pretty much normal wet and the other was very dry like there is no fuel in the cylinder.

What have I missed?

Thanks in advance!

The rollover shouldn't do any harm really except maybe put some water in the engine. ( always try to roll to te port side,(left side). After you got it running, I would run it to get it normal running temp, and it should be ok. Replace the plugs and go run it. just be sure there isn't any water in the fuel tank, filters or oil tank.

New issue

Well,
I changed the plugs and on the cradle with the intake in the water and neutral the ski revved to 4 -5k rpm with a flick of the throttle; so I took it out to the main lake and when I cleared the no wake and put the hammer down I got a "Maint" reading on the gage, 2500 rpm max and the horn wails 3 times with a light?

I put it back on the cradle and let it sit a while and it revs fine without a lite/code? I have read many of your posts about dealers and I have one in my area that I don't really trust for the same reasons that you describe. My son had an issue with him last year with a different ski.

I also just realized that I posted this on the boat page instead of the PWC page. The ski is a '01 RX-DI that was given to me as a semi-permanent loaner; the owner is away for the year.

Can I clear this type of "maint" code disconnecting/reconnecting the battery?
BTW the battery is new.

I will go to the manual and see what that 3 beep/ maint code is saying...sometimes if it is just a routine maintenance notice you can clear it by hitting the "set" button... I'll check the code and repost...

Ok here is what I found...3 beeps and "MAINT" in the info means the TPS (throttle position Sensor) single tps. You'll also notice that it has limited rpm's also. You will have to have the dealer clear he codes after the problem is resolved. It could be wet or bad and need replacing. Keep us posted if we can be of any more help.
