rings didnt seat

I just rebuilt my top end. I bought the ski 2 months ago and i had a rave break off in my back cylinder the second time out. It was already bored to
83mm so i went to 83.5. I trimmed the raves and when i got it apart i thought the rave hit it and messed up the front piston, but both cylinder walls are bad around the exhaust ports. the back piston looks ok some damage on the rings but the front piston has severe damage and both cylinder sleeves need replacment. can anyone tell me why? i still have injection and i put evtra oil in with the fuel and I ran it for a while on the hose low rpms and i took it out to the lake and putted it around and it died on me out there I thought it was fuel but now i see it wasn't. I never revved it up high so i dont understand. Also where is the cheapest place to get it re sleeved and get another top end kit? Any info would be great as I am about fed up with it and about to be done with it

hey...your look'n between $200-$250 per sleeve, installed, with new sleeves, better to goback to std. bore, then you'll need pistons,...long run, better off roll'n up sbtontheweb.com, or "PARTS" tab on this page, for new motor...w/warranty.

a set of jugs with good used pistons on ebay-plus the head. item number; 180273570583. opening bid of 10 bucks. buy it now of 300. did you put the pistons in right? ring end gaps away from exhaust side?

Yeah I messed that one up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When it said arrows to the exhaust I took it as the majority of the exhaust not the ports so my pistons were backwards. Anyone ever do buisness with full bore online out of alpena Mi.? they will bore and send me another top end kit for $295 + $20 shipping they will charge $100 a sleeve and install them for free so I'm looking at another $515 to rebuild. :stupid:

just got my jugs back from full bore online. had to resleeve 1 and got the platnium kit for 415.00. everything looks top notch. should have everything back together soon. but kit comes with wsn pistons the coated ones all the bearings and seals and o-rings. even comes with the base gasket. turn around was about a week. i talkes to him on the phone and seemed to know alot about seadoo. they do alot of seadoo jetski and rotex snowmobile engines.

yah, installed the "wsm" kit in mine, worked great, complete kit was $400 buks w/gasket, another fifty to ship.. make sure the arrow on pistons faces the exhaust...
