Ride Shoe

Do you have a replacement rideshoe to put in? I don't think you will need to remove the driveshaft completely---but not positive on that. If you have to you will need to reinstall the pump to disassemble the carbon ring.seal easily. Remove the reverse bucket off the back of the pump. Disconnect the cable (10mm hex nut and bolt) to the buckets and also the steering cable (I think 11mm hex nut), Then remove the 4 14mm hex head bolts off the nozzles on both sides, leave the buckets attached to them---less stuff to deal with but you might need a helper. Then take the 4 17mm hex nuts off the pump you need to work on. Then pull the pump. Remove the hoses on the inside that are connected to the rear pump support (ride shoe). You may be able to pull that straight back with out removing the ride plate, that is where I'm not 100% certain. Since you didn't state which side you need to work on you might have to disassemble the cables that pass through the pump support.....from the inside, then push the cable back and the plastic "half nuts" will disengage.

I think? Item #2 will slide out of #6 straight back

Item 23 is the half nut. Disconnect #28 and 30

I have tried to pull the shoes on the jet boats , when parting them several times.
Never got one off with out tearing it up.

Your mileage may vary.
