revving and hard to plane

Just bought a 2005 challenger 180 and took it out for the first time today. The boat doesn't seem to have much power and will rev to WOT if I accelerate to quick. it's hard to get the boat to plane and it has no balls, can't even pull a wake boarder.I read some other threads of some older boats and people are saying it's the carbon seals. anyone have any thoughts or advice?

sounds like the wear ring needs replacing....check that first along with the impeller!!

ring and impeller look fine, went back out today and looked for leaks and tried further troubleshooting when the engine died and won't start now, it's knocking hard while cranking and i fear that i broke a cam shaft or something major.
