New to the forums and thought I waould ask some quistions.....

We have a 1997 challenger with twin 110's in it and it's always had a problem of backing up. When you throw it in reverse it just doesn't move very well, almost to the point of saying it's worthless.

Does anyone else have the same or similar problem? If so, has someone come up with a fix or is this thing just not right?

-thanks, Rich

check to see if your gates are coming down all the way, could be out of adjustment, or cable/s binding up...but reverse is good when bringing to a dock,...beats slamm'n the darn thing

Thats the thing, when you come into dock or loading it's just worthless, and then if you add a little wind or maybe loading with a slight current.

We've checked the gates and they both seem to drop and to be in adjustment, even the dealer looked at it and didn't think anything was wrong.

How fast will yours back up? not looking for a rocketship, but something noticable for backing and manuverable(sp?)...

Calm water.....1.5/2mph, in doin so, feet get soaked. I only use it for bring'n to ty up, just inch my way to the dock
