'05 Sportster 155hp 4-Tec. Throttle works as it should when shifter for reverse gate is in N or R. But when I shift in to F, not only does it lock (sticks) in that position, but the throttle is locked in the idle position. Neither one will move. If i place just a little pressure and move the reverse gate from the forward position just a small amount I can then return shifter back to N or R. This happens every time I shift into F.
I can manually move the reverse gate up and down with out any issues. If I remove the shift cable from the shifter, all functions of the shifter and throttle operate as they should. Any ideas out there?
