Just pulled my reverse cable (it had wandered too close to the fly wheel and wore through 1/2 of it). 1997 Challenger.

When I got it apart I see that there are two hull to cable seal positions available (notch position where the split platistic housing resides). Anyone know which one is used (the one closest to the threaded nut or furthest?

Also, are these cable typically routed under the engine (like this one was) or over the top of the driveshaft plastic housing?

I just looked at mine. The indent closet to the end of the cable is where my split ring sits. The other indent holds a flat wide rubber washer.

Keep in mind that I have a 98 1800. I'll check the parts list for yours to be sure and get back to you.
