Hi
I am new to this forum and its my first post.
On my boat, the cable at the transom end is held in place by a threaded locking nut which in turn holds the half rings retainers on the cable. The parts diagram also shows a large boot which slides over the cable from the rear I guess to protect the outboard end cable from water entry where there is a joint in the cable. I do not have that part right now ( it was not on the old cable ), but I really can't see that there is enough room to slide anything over the cable with the locking nut in place. When its assembled there is very little space between the cable and the inside diameter of the locking nut. Am I missing something ?
Thanks
