Was changing my jet pump oil and found this. Is there a quick fix that someone's found?

The lever still works fine

I found a cable online. I can't find any info online about what is needed to install or suggestions/tips on installation

Do I need any other parts or is it just the cable?

Any info or pics would be great!

Thank you!

The manuals are around, and the info is there. The pain in reaching down there to spin the nut on the inside of the boat to get the cable out, and then installing in that section again. Otherwise it's not hard.

Fixed!
Turns out the bolt that holds the cable end to the reverse hood was installed backwards and the treads caused it to bind and bend. Ran down to the seadoo shop and got a new bolt and they told me how to reinstall the same cable.

Good to go and it works better then ever.

Thanks guys

Cool. Did you have all the rubber boots and are they snug in the mating surfaces? The water will creep up the cable and kill it. You can buy just the boots.

Yes. The boots are in great shape. There are as snug as they were before.

The seadoo shop said they have seen this before and for me to just tap the cable end with a rubber mallet back into place, lube it up, and make sure the rubber boot is up against the surface.

That's what I did and it seem to work great and is really on there.

Amazing that one bolt installed backwards could cause all this.
