Anyone know anything good to restore faded black trim on the rub rails?

thanks.

i've tried back to black, but that only lasts a few days, doesn't seem to work for boats.

thanks.

I'm thinking maybe rubbing compound? just shave off the faded layer?

i've had good luck with meguirs natural shine, but honestly within one or two rides, it washes off, works great on things like car interiors as well, since they dont' get wet

i'm assuming you already tried the heat gun ?
that works very well on the rub rail trim/corner pieces, not as well on the rub rails themselves.
you could paint them, i know a guy that did, it lasted a full season before little chips started coming off and the yellow peeked thru, but if your going black over black....

I used a Turtle Wax product, "trim renew" or some similar name on my rub rails. It has lasted the longest out of all the others I've tried. I applied it about a month ago and still looks good.

try it,,,,
just keep it moving, i've had it work better on yami rub rails than seadoo rub rails, but it works great on seadoo corner trim pieces..

these things,, and those were what looked the worst on mine.

and the heat gun fully restored them

maybe the two are slightly different materials ?
