Resonator leaking water

Hello all, yet another question about my 97 Challenger.

I think I finally found the source of most of the water seeping into my bilge. After I adjusted the tension on the carbon seal and snugged the clamp on the boot, I still had water in the bilge after a few hours at the dock.

I just noticed a small stream of water coming from the bottom of the resonator (pretty sure that's the part name- sorry, 1st seadoo). It's the purple can under the exhaust that is parallel to the keel, with a flat section towards the stern.

How do I remove that can to inspect/repair/replace? Do I need to remove the tuned pipe and/or the muffler? Or can it be done without so much teardown? Thanks again.

Definitely from the resonator. I spoke with Minnetonka4me earlier. I think I'm going to have to pull it and get it welded.

Check tuned pipe welsh plugs at same time. In your case could have been water left in over winter.

You could use JB weld as a temporary fix. I fixed a hole in my tuned exhaust pipe with it and held up well. Eventually had it professionally welded though.

Exactly what I did to salvage the vacation. I used the marine JB Weld putty. When I get home I'm going to pull it and have it welded, but it fixed the leak temporarily.
