Is it necesary to remove the gas tank to replace the fuel lines. One line seems to disappear under the insulation and I'm not sure where it goes, I'm guessing to the bottom of the fuel tank.

No you shouldn't have to remove the fuel tank. That line might have just slipped under the fuel tank.

That line is one of the vents. It has a check valve just inside the hull and pops through underneath the edge bumper with a little rubber nipple. There is another one somewhere for your battery to breath. It is a real pain to get out and more to get back in. I choose not to replace that line as gas does not flow though it anyway. I would, however, hook up a bicycle pump or something to assure you can blow through it. Don't know what the resistance should be but you can't blow it with your mouth. That one only lets air out. It T's off another line going to a check valve up above your hatch that only lets air in.

I am going to replace all of my lines today...what diameter(s) do I need and how much line(ft) should I buy?

fuel line size

I replaced one of the lines on the carb and it was 6mm (.236 which is almost 1/4in), but looking at the manual it calls for 8mm for the others (so I think, the online manual was pretty vague). Did you use 1/4" for all the lines coming out of the tank?

Buy 25 feet, of 1/4 inch fuel line. If you are on a little budget, you can get the 20 cents a foot variety, at the auto parts store.

Or, the 4 buks a foot variety, of EFI line.

You will need about 15 stainless steel clamps.
