Hello, since this site is so awesome, I wanted to pitch in and give back a little because this site has given me so much! Its a step by step guide with pictures on how to replace your Fuel Selector Valve, sometimes the fuel selector valve can be the cause of your bogging and hesitation, and bad throttle response due to it being gummed up from the grey fuel lines! Seriously this was probably the easiest job I ever did on my boat, I remember when Dr. Honda asked me 2 years ago, I was so afraid! so don't be afraid, this is really a 5 to 15 minute job tops!
Fuel Selector Valve Part # 275500098
Step 1 remove throttle plate with screw phillips screw driver
I found it easiest to move throttle plate this way to be the easiest:
You can see the fuel selector valve on the boat
Remember to remove the little rubber protectant on top of the screw, ALSO remove the "plastic" screw in "washer"
The easiest way for me to replace the fuel selector valve is going to the engine bay and pull the fuel selector valve with all hoses attached to it, being careful of course it doesnt take any throttle cables, shifter cables, along the way
I replaced one hose at a time to make sure i am putting everything back correctly!
Now push back the new fuel selector valve closest to where it belongs, and screw it back on!
Thats it! Thanks again hopefully this was a little bit useful!
