Replacement (Improved) OEM ski pylon
When I bought my Challenger 2000, the ski pylon was missing. I debated getting a steel one fabbed up, but ultimately ordered a new OEM shaft (and tube; the original was bent) from Cycle Parts Nation. I know the original pylon had a reputation for being a pretty weak piece, but when I found the parts list, I was curious to see that there was a new part number (204072616) replacing the original piece, with the new part supposedly improved/stronger. I got the new shaft today, and I am pleased to report that the new version looks pretty stout. If I'm not mistaken, the original was made from aluminum tube, correct? The new piece is definitely not tube; it is solid bar stock aluminum and looks and feels pretty heavy and solid. I am quite hopeful it will be more durable than the original. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone was wondering about the revised piece.
