Replacement Jet Pump

Hi guys,

I want to replace the pump housing on my 06 Challenger 180 as it's in pretty rough shape from the previous owner sucking up rocks etc. I've attached a pic of what I'm referring to. Are the WSM or SBT aftermarket pump housing kits any good? Are they plastic or aluminum? The OEM parts page shows the housing as unavailable.

I'm not sure I even need a new pump. My wear ring has a groove on only one side. I replaced it and it did the same thing right away. Is this an engine/shaft alignment issue? I thought maybe it was the beat up pump. This pump has been rebuild not long ago by the previous owner after the damage you see was done. I'd like to get a stainless ring, but I need to solve this issue first.
 
i wouldn't do the ss wear ring, impeller will wear before the wear ring. its called a wear ring for a reason...

sometimes the pump has alignment packing shims.
the pump doesn't look like it has had any grease packed for a while, so doubt the proper service of the pump
 
I've had the pump off multiple times last year testing different impellers and pitches etc. The bearing is good, grease is fresh, no water intrusion.

Your impeller shaft might not be straight causing the impeller to cut
into the wear ring. I would forget the stainless wear ring idea.
