After Finding what wont work on the forums here I did some more research and found a replacement gas cap for boats using the oem 204560253 filler neck.
this is mainly for 2003-2006 4 tech sportsters, 05-07 challengers, 07-08 speedster 150 . You need the Whitecap 6074C. it has the correct thread pitch.
