I just replaced new stainless ring, o rings, carbon seal, boot, clamps, and filled new jet pump oil last week. Before replacing, i cleaned out the driveshaft and installed new driveshaft bumpers as well.

Decided to take it out for test, it was running perfect. But, still got some cavitation problem which i see some water coming out from carbon seal.

Here's the videos..

The carbon seal leaks by design. That's how it works, and stays cool.

How bad is the cavitation? If it's minimal... that's normal with the boats. There is a lot of weight, and a full throttle blast from a sand still can actually boil the water on the backside of the impeller, from the pressure drop.

If it's bad enough to be an issue... then you could have a leak around the shoe.

If you suspect the carbon seal is getting sucked back... you can put some fat zip ties in the valley of the boot, and that will hold it stiffer.

Crap !! That's just pouring in. From my side... it looks like the boot isn't compressed. Push your stainless ring toward the transom, and see if there is a second clip groove. If there is... then move the C-clip there.

Your problem is definitely in the carbon seal area.

I'm with Doc. Look for a second (tighter) slot to out the ring clip into.

This system works due to a compressed boot bit looks like that boot is practically just sitting there.

Yeah, thats what i thought. Ok I will try to compress boot and tighten the clamps between the boot. I dont see any C-clip but all 3 black rings that came into the kit from SBT.

Thanks

Here is a picture right out of the manual.

It looks like three potential adjustments to me.

Check your motor mounts and make sure none have broke or bolts have came lose....might need an alignment and motor may need to come forward.

Update!! My boat- all good and showing no cavitation like last time. Yes, i pushed the stainless ring and all good! Just took a video of it while my wife driving... Sounds good?
