How do I remove the impeller shaft, drive shaft and or impeller housing so that I can lift the engine?

I removed steering knozzle and impeller cover (where the oil is).

I have all of the engine mounts unhooked. Gas/carbs are off/unhooked.

Thanks,

Jeremy

check the collar in front of the carbon boot and pull the silver collar toward the aft/rear of the ski and see if there is a lock ring inside it, I removed my engine with the drive shaft still in, I just picked the motor up and then moved it forward about 2 in's or so and the shaft will come right out, then you can play with getting it out. The manual should show you step by step to remove it.

Thanks, that helps. I have been able to get it out by taking the entire pump off.

I have to replace two engine mounts, and my problem now is, I am not really sure how to align the engine with shims, how important is this?

It is very important to align the pump and motor, make sure your shims on each mount go back exactly with and where each mount it that they came off of. You as best to buy a seadoo alignment tool or find someone that has one, it will connect to your housing in the rear and the shaft will go in through to align everything. You must align the motor and pump.
