I got both tune pipes welded after they started leaking... But back when I discovered the leak one of the pipes had more corrosion than the other and something below the tune pipe, towards the front of the boat... (Marked in the picture)... must have gotten wet... Something sizzled and when I looked down there was a small line of smoke that came up... but I couldn't tell from where.

Now that motor won't turn over or do anything when I try and crank... the other one is great and fires right up.

Well... there really isn't anything there. The white wire is the over-temp sender... and just behind that pipe is the bilge pump. Neither of them would keep the boat from running.

The only thing I can think of, is if one of your power cables were fray, and happened to short out.

Do you get your beeps when you put on the lanyard still?

One thing does come to mind... if the rectifier shorted out... the yellow wires could have melted.

I guess you will have to dig around, and find the wire that smoked before we can really figure it out.
