I started my '96 Challenger today on the hose and observed water leaking out of the bottom of the pressure regulator onto the water box. There is a manufactured hole in the bottom of the cover. Is this normal or do you think something is wrong with the regulator?

Water is injected in the muffler through the regulator. There 2 hoses that leave the regulator. 1 hose goes to the cylinder head, and 1 smaller hose going to an injection fitting on the front of the engine. There should be no water leaking on the water box. Is the regulator connected properly to the muffler. I would check the regulator.

Still leaking I don't know if I put it back together correctly. I wish I could find a picture of one assembled. There's some question as to which groove on the center plastic piece is secured to the bellows

I 'll checked the manual...and it doesn't indicate which groove the bellows should be in. I would go to the center one. Make sure the spring is installed properly. I'll keep checking different manuals till I find out...

I checked different manuals and found the clamp under the bellows is screwed in place in a clamp. There is no reference to the height of the bellows on the valve. Does the bellows have a hole in it , as the small hole seems to be just a vent hole. If the bellows is bad it would weep water from the small 1/8 " hole.

water leak?

Water leaking through that hole is a sign that you have blockage in the orificed connector below the regulator. Disconnect the hoses, remember which one goes where, and then un-screw it off the tank. Then, with a wrench, remove the brass fitting. This is the part that will probably be stopped up.
DO NOT CHANGE the setting of this regualtor. This vavle can cause major engine damage if not operating properly. Good luck........

I replaced the regulator valve with one I purchased from the 130hp model. It appears to be the same. Tried it on the hose and water still comes out the bottom but not as much. I checked the brass fitting and it was not plugged. Don't get it.
