I have a 95 seadoo. The plug was left out in the water and the seadoo fill up with water over the engine. I brought it home and took the plugs out and cranked it over until all the water was out of the cylinders. Now in the water, it will run then stall out. Someone said the reed valves might need changed. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Mike

I have a 1995 HX and the parts break down in the manual doesnt have any reed valves on it. What motor is it?

Click on the parts link on the top left hand side of this page. You can enter the info on your ski and look up the parts.

Incidentally you may have done a lot of damage by pumping the water out of the cylinders using the engine itself. I know that seems like a logical choice but, water doest not like to be compressed. If it flooded out that bad, getting the water out of the cylinders would only be half the battle.

That means you soaked your electronics and your shaft bearings and the possibly in the carbs and who knows where else. Not to be too negative but you made need to start pulling parts.

No reed valves..

You don't have reed valves. You have a rotary valve.

As long as you had the plugs out when you blew the water out, you did it correctly. You say the motor will run for a few minutes then die out?

If your electronic boxes still hold their seal, your electrical system should be fine.

Sometimes, when these engines are flooded like this, you'll have the symptoms your having. Keep trying to run it. It should come back around. You may have some water that got into your fuel system.

Keep us posted!......
