Near me a restaurant on the river just opened up. The put a decent dock up. We have been putting in the water just to ride to the restaurant to eat. (ahhh love this weather) I have fenders that will fit in the front storage area. Leave it to some totally RUDE or thoughtless boaters to FLY by and create huge waves. My current fenders just arent getting the job done. What would you all suggest for fenders, bumpers, etc.

In that kind of situation... the bigger, the better.

If the dock, has individual "Slips"... then you can tie off to both sides to hold the boat centered. BUT... do not pull the ropes too tight. If you do... you may rip the kleat off the hull. If it's a long dock... tie it very loose, and hopefully it will float away from the dock as much as possible.

The Pittsburgh rivers are the same way. It's just how it is during the summer. The water is busy, and it's inevitable. Also... We spent 4 days in Deep Creek MD this year... and it was CRAZY on that lake. It was worse than being tied up in the ocean, outside the break-water. But with good fenders, and properly tied... my only damage was one of my big "Seadoo" logos got a couple nicks. (not a bog deal)

Just an FYI... for the Islandia... I have 5x22" fenders. AND... I use some low draft style in the rear, to keep the swim deck from snagging.
