This Safety Recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard and Transport Canada and is published in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Boat Safety Act and other applicable laws.

What is the reason for this notice?
The SPD Division of Barnes Group Inc. ("SPD") informed Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. that certain brackets which are used on certain Sea-Doo Sport Boats, model year 2007, may be defective and that it was conducting a voluntary safety recall campaign as specified in the attached Safety Campaign Bulletin.

What is the potential problem?
The ball studs on certain gas spring bracket may break loose from the bracket, which could result in the gas spring losing its ability to support the related member. Those brackets are typically used on: engine cover, bow cover, rear folding doors, center folding door, ski door, anchor door and lean back seat. Should a failure occur, it is possible that the application in which the bracket has been installed could fall unexpectedly, potentially resulting in personal injury or even death to the operator or bystanders.

What will BRP do?
BRP has already sent a Safety Recall letter to all known registered owners of these vehicles. This letter urges that the owners immediately stop using their vehicle and contact their BRP dealer to get their vehicle repaired. Also, BRP posted this notice and attached Safety Campaign Bulletin on its dealer website and on its public web site (www.sea-doo.com).

What should you do?
Immediately stop using your sport boat. Check if your sport boat model is in the list below and call an authorized BRP Sea-Doo watercraft dealer to make an appointment to have your watercraft inspected and repaired. The dealer will perform this work at no charge to you.
