Hi Guys, I'm rebuilding my top end and when installing cylinder blocks it calls for loctite 515 (which I have) on bolt threads & it also calls for Dow Corning 111 under the bolt heads -

Whats your opinion on this? Is it so critical to lube with Dow Corning 111?

Thanks

You don't have to use the Dow Corning brand, but I would use some sort of synthetic grease to make sure the head doesn't get hung up. Go to your local hardware store, they got it. Don't skip any steps in putting this engine together.
