right engine runs flawless

left engine idles ok, slowly advance throttle and it will rev but only about 6k. give it quick throttle and it bogs really bad and stalls. Carbs are cleaned, rebuilt and set to factory settings. both cylinders have 125psi. once I get the engine to higher rpm's it smokes ALOT. at idle with the air box off I hear a sound coming from one carb, sounds like "chi chi chi chi" I'm wondering why I only hear it from one carb and not both or none. I noticed an oil leak from one of the rave valves so I took it out and it was trash so replaced it. the second one is in fair shape. I just can't figure it out. Are there any good seadoo mechanics in the Tampa, fl area I can take it to or does anyone have an idea as to what is going on. Thanks for any help

I am seriously ready to sell this thing and I have never even been able to use my $5K boat. this sux

I agree that 125 is not the best in the world however, before instaklling the carbs I have on it now it used to rev alot faster like the other engine but would not hold an idle. The idle problem is why I have the carbs I do now. The original carbs were very badly rotted and could not be adjusted as the screws were torn up.

The compression will cause it to be little sluggish but nothing like it's acting now. Do you think the fuel pump may be getting weak? it really seems like a fuel delivery problem.

I am in the process of rebuilding a 92 kawi 750ss ski. Should be done in 2 weeks. I think when I am done I am going to sell it and buy a new engine for the 1800 or just sell the 1800 and get a regular bow rider with an outboard engine.

OK, laugh at me for saying this, but I had a Sea Doo ski that was problematic. Turned out that one of my plugs was fouled. The other was fine. It ran, coughed, smoked, wouldn't run right. Take a look at the plugs and see if that's it. I hope I'm right 'cause you'll be back on the water and only $10 to fix. Just tryin' to help.

I have to say this is one of the most over looked thing.
I just had to change them out b/c neither either would rev. If I did it bogged then died. Swap plugs out and viola.

whos your mobile mechanic?? are you meaning yourself??
I just a top ende rebuild cleaned and rebuilt carbs. acc pumps working. exhaust regulators cleaned. still havin trouble with carb settings tho. engines ides great but bog when given throttle.
