96 Seadoo Challenger:
I read somewhere recently that attempting to turn the engine over without the spark plug wires connected to ground could overload the auto bilge circuit and blow the auto bilge water sensor circuit. Someone said they needed to reroute the circuit because of this.
Since I've never had the ground posts (working on getting those) the previous owner must have tried this and since getting the boat the auto bilge water sensor circuit has never worked. I needed to install an aftermarket float to fix the bilge function. This works great but I really want to fix this OEM circuit.
Does anyone have any advise on rerouting the auto bilge circuit to return it to functionality? I can't find the post that was discussing this.
Thanks!
