I have a 99 gsx and one day it was running great then after i developed loss of speed only would go 30 mph at 3500 rpms then it was having more difficult time starting would have to keep throttle open to start and it took a while after engined warmed up..
i cleaned the rave vavles and first cylinder was gummed up cleaned with scotch bright pad and took all apart sprayed some wd-40 and assembled them back together if this is correct if im not mistakened valve goes in one way with rubber bushing then diaphram then bushing on top then the red o ring then then i assembled the top and it only tightens at a certain point with the spring underneath then i put the top spring with the cap backon but didnt touch the red adjustment there factory set..
now i cant get the thing to idle but will rev up then stall out once the rpm drops i dont know if the vavles are closing all the way when idling or if i may have a fuel problem but the pump is working. havent did a pressure check.
