My 97SPX is still running strong!
At end of last season I notice some black oil leaking around one of the RAVE valve.
I opened the top and took a look. Everything looked ok except the black oil. Valve also moves up and down smoothly. I have temperature sensors installed on both valves, they were both normal. So I didn’t bother it fix it for the rest of season.
Now it is the time to fix it.
I took that valve of the engine, O-ring, spring, bellow and the valve all look fine. The only thing I noticed is when I unscrew the plastic top (10mm thread?) it was not tight.

Probably just clean everything and put it back and keep monitoring?

The orange diaphragms are the old style and have been replaced by green. If you make sure the spring is tight and they still leak after cleaning everything it is time to replace them.

If you have a it apart, check the hard part of the bellow (pictured) for cracks. Maybe consider ordering new spring retainers and bellows, it never hurts to replace exhausted parts.

OK, thanks guys. Where is the best place to order a replacement kit, I guess both sides to be replaced?

I just put an o-ring on the bottom of the diaphragms. I was putting springs but they are expensive. :) If you get the green diaphragms from the wrong vendor they are too thick and will affect the function.. Good Luck.

Check the o-ring on the bottom side of the rave blade. A little oil from there isn't gonna hurt anything.
