Rave valve lower retention spring

I can't seem to find these in the parts catalogue? I heard some people are using zip ties instead, does this work reliably?

#10 is the large retention spring for the top side of the bellow, but I am looking for the smaller retention spring that goes on the bottom of the bellow.

I can't see that spring in the diagram

there is not a clamp on the bottom of the bellows on the RAVE. there is a clamp on the bottom of the bellows in the Water Regulator Valve. a zip tie works but the nub on the zip tie could wear a hole in the bellows. I've seen some say they melt the nub smooth with a soldering iron.

just an FYI, you can get these small bellows retention springs at SBT. just give them a shout...

Thanks! I know they are available because one of my engines has them and the other does not. Must have been misplaced sometime during a rave rebuild.

Maybe some years have them and other yrs, (either later or earlier) won't have them.

My 96 XP doesn't have them, but my 99 Speedster does.

Makes sense, I dropped in a rebuilt engine from an older seadoo. Where as the engines stock in my 99 speedster have them.
