99 gtx limited, the red adjustments are almost screwed all the way down. im getting 6600-6800 rpm and 54 mph. will adjusting them make any difference?

On the 951 I believe the factory adjustment is set screwed all the way in.

But no, it only controls when the valves open.

The 787 is screwed all the way in. 951 is 2 turns in from flush. They will not change your peak RPMs. Only shift the point at which they open. 6800 is good if that's the original engine.

Once you get the feel of where the Raves open and are happy with it, there will be no adjustment needed any more. The adjustments do not give more power or rpm's it just moves the "power band" (for lack of a better term) higher or lower.

From the manual.

The RAVE valve does not allow an engine to make
higher peak horsepower than an engine not so
equipped, it can make moving the peak higher
practical because of its effect on the rest of the
power curve.

If the RAVE valve opens too late, the engine will
bog or hesitate momentarily as the RPM increases.
Full peak performance is still available.
From a functional point of view. It is better to have
the valve open a bit early than a bit late.

I seem to remember that the manual said either flush or 2 turns in to start for the 787, which I tried, and the power delivery just felt "soft" however it still hit the same top speed and came out of the hole the same, just didn't have the same pop in the last 1/2-1/4th of the throttle. I like cruising at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and having it pull hard to top rpm. Other people might like the smoother delivery though
