rattling noise at idle

when at idle with the water hose hooked up to my 97 gti i hear a rattling type noise from the prop area, if i give it a little gas it goes away.didnt hear it when it was in the water.just rebuilt the out drive assy. could something have come loose or is this normal. thanks for any input.

It's nothing to worry about. It's normal for that year seadoo.Inside the jet pump is a washer and spring that is allowing the impeller to rattle as the spring is a bit weaker then when new. In the water the impeller has a load on it and it isn't allowed to rattle. There ate kits on the market to resolve the rattle but they don't last long. It won't do any harm and it only does it while running on the hose or out of the water.
