I am thinking of doing this dam-to-dam race of 130 miles here in Missouri.
I have never run it full throttle that long. I can see some issues.
1) Is there some plastic thing I can use a cruise control? I might make one out of verelco or something. I could see some plastic wedge on a string one could jam into the gap between the throttle-bar and when you apply power for a second it falls out.
2) Engine. My rave valves get really cruddy from towing a tube or big wave chop jumping [great lakes with good wind] and start sticking unless I really got WOT on it after awhile without the chop or tube. What will running this hard that long do? My first hunch it will be fine becuase its not chop jumping or towing.
3) It says 55mph on the dreamometer, what I am really probably doing?
