Are these worth buying. It looks like it would make service a bit easier but is there any other reasons to have one? Thanks.

I am going to tell you something that is kind of dumb.

Every mod you do, (that makes it go faster) increases the maintenance, and reduces the engine life. sometimes by a bunch, and sometimes just a little.

If you just want to out run your cousin Joe's Doo, then that can be fun.

But, if you blow your motor in 40 hrs, it is not cost effective.

Just remember the throttle. It keeps it from running wide open all the time. Mods usually just allow you to get more power.

Just consider where you are going, and if it is worth it, to you.

Nate

How do you feel about advanced timing then? Its said that most manufactures will actually retard timing to save thier butts and have the engine not perform to optimal performance to save engine life.

where did you find that modding the engine decreases its life? It all depends on what you do to it. Intake wont do any damage unless you submerge it in water whit WOT, same as with stock crap. Now if you put a 100 shot of nitrous then yeah there is some danger to it. people mod their cars all day ever day and ones that aredone right will run perfectly and with better results in all categories.

Think what Nate was get'n at..hpyothetically, Sea-Doo does what they can, to get most out of these little motors...
and for quik..wanted flame arrestors, but not tak'n in consideration, what will need to be done to the carb/s for optimum performance...

With this intake flame arrestor is there more you have to buy? adapters? clamps? how does it connect to the carbs is what im getting at..
thanks!
