If I pumped RV antifreeze thru my garden hose flush (while the engine is running) - will that be good enough to keep it from freezing?

TIA

yes

as long as you run it for a few mintues and get antifreeze coming out then you will be good been doing my jetskis that way for 3-years and be doing my jetboat that way also this year.

Good idea!.......

Now, why haven't you turned us on to this info earlier!.........
J/K.....it sounds like a great idea though! It will keep you from having to disconnect hoses and use a funnel etc.........this should work, even on the 4-TECS.........

One question for Batt though....what is RV anti-freeze? As long as it's anti-freeze for aluminum engines, that's all that matters.

Great idea you guys!............

RV Antifreeze is plumbing antifreeze - non-toxic - safe for water pipes - used for winterizing travel trailers etc.

Linky thing

Plastic pipes only?.......

I kinda figured when it said RV, it was for the recreational vehicles.

I did follow your link and from what I read, it says its for plastic pipes only. Did I read the wrong stuff?.........I guess it would be o.k. Plastic is softer than aluminum.......the manual only states that you get anti-freeze for aluminum engines (which now days, 90 percent of engines are built with aluminum blocks, so it's probably the primary coolant sold).

yeah well RV anti freeze is only a few bucks at most places. I just made a beer bong (funnel/plastic tube) and ran it into the top part where those 2 black tubes go into. took out spark plugs and turned engine over a few times to get it all in there.
