I have a new to me '96 Challenger. I want to run the engine today at home. My question is about which hose input to use. Am I correct that if I use the one at the transom, I don't have to pinch any hoses in the engine bay?

Thanks.

That's what the manual says, but I just use the one at the top, and verify I get a good stream out of the pee hole.

Don't run it for long. The carbon seal (drivshaft seal) will over heat. Normally... the only time you should "Run on the hose" is if you are flushing the engine.

I ran mine off the connector that is under the engine lid, has a black cap on it retained by a little chain. I was getting a decent stream out the back so it seemed ok. I still didn't run it that long for the reason mentioned above.
