im getting ready to change the wear ring on both motors of my 95 speedster with twin 85's. I was thinking of changing the impeller while I was at it. Should I replace it with a stock one or aftermarket? Change the pitch or anything. I'm a bigger guy at 350 and like to pull tubers.

Twin 85's?? What's that? A 95 speedster has a pair of 657x engines that make 80 hp each.

Aftermarket impellers are almost always better. For pulling a tube... the Skat-Trak "Swirl" impellers are what you want. I think the recommended pitch will be 15/21.

There is always a trade-off. Better bottom end but less top end, or better top end and less bottom pull. For pulling skiers or tubes you probably want better bottom end, to get on plane quicker. A mile or two off of the top is not as big an issue.
