Hello everyone,

Ive just got a quick question for you guys :)

What would be a good price on a 2004 XP DI that is in good condition? I am in the market for one and am not sure what prices are good and bad when I see them.

Thanks alot,
-Blake

Also,

Was there any major recalls or problems with this year? Is there anything I should specifically look for when I find one?

Thanks a lot guys

DI.........

DI is the acronym for "direct injection" and uses a sub-system to make it work, an air compressor. The fuel is sent by fuel pump, into the fuel rail and at the right moment, fuel is added to the injector, then, with a burst of air, injected into the combustion chamber with high pressure.

The RFI (rotax fuel injected) system is a lot more reliable since it's only got a fuel pump and a fuel rail. The fuel is injected into the low pressure side of the cylinders...........

I should stay neutral on this idea of what type ski you want to buy. But, with this being your first Seadoo, I don't think you should go with the DI motor. There have been lots of problems with the compressor and injection system........:(

Point well taken.

I am only 16, so this is my first one that I buy myself, but not the first one that Ive ever seen. My dad owned a few Seadoos through the '90s so he knows quite a bit more about them then I do. I also race Snox and have been working on two stroke engines for almost three years now. So I think (hope) that I will be able to keep up the maintenance and keep the ski running right. My dad has said that Seadoos are harder to work on though..

I will definatly remember what you said but will also keep searching. I really appreciate the help.

Thanks,
-Blake
