question about the directional nozzle on my boat

its not the original one, it has the self bailing tubes so im assuming its from a ski, do the skis have a different inside diameter than the boats? or are they all the same? I think I read somewhere if you wanted a better hole shot you could remove a little on the inside of your cone but you would lose a little top speed, anybody have any experience with this?

more or less.... all the 2-strokes use the same pump.
