everytime i put my boat in the deck floods from the hole on the right that goes to the outside, is there suppose to be a valve or something in there? when i take off it drains but then i stop and it floods again? and i have a intermittent miss when cruising, gonna change my plugs tonight and clean the rave valves and see if that cures it, ordering a new skat trak impeller tonight and wear ring and carbon ring woot woot

the scupper valve is bad. Check ebay. They are universal, and should cost you less than $6 delivered.

I bought one of those and it works at first, but after sitting for 5 minutes water starts coming in.

I'm thinking about trying one of the ball types.

Mine has the ball type and it doesn't take on any water. I didn't realize that wasn't the factory type until now. I like it though as the water drains out of the boat just sitting there.

Wow thanks again drhonda. Now im in Michigan heading to detroitreadi.g about my boat. Do you sellthe tool to press in the bearings and seals to the right depth in my pump? If so how much is it. When I pulled the cone off last night it was just oil no water. So im happy about that. Now today I'm reading about rebuilding carbs. Where are they? Under the tuned pipe or under the motor? Thank you again

I have the ball type, added a strip of styra foam about 3 inches thick[double or triple the ply]and 2 inches wide by 6 inches long. Used zip tie around hose[and styro] at panduit directly below my chin when I`m looking at carbs. Works great,no more wet feet!
